Here’s an excerpt from E. Ayers’ I Thee Wed. But you’re going to have to read all the other stories before you read this one!
Cody rubbed Julia’s back and planted a kiss on the top of her head. “I’m very proud of you and the way you’ve turned out.”
“Thanks, Dad. But now Aaron’s coming tomorrow and I have no idea what to do.”
“Okay, I’m the last person who should be giving you advice on your love life. I’ve certainly screwed that up over the years. Although I will admit that DeeDee is the best thing that ever happened to me when it comes to women. In spite of my mistakes, I have seven wonderful children that I love dearly and wouldn’t trade for anything in the world. So, for whatever it’s worth, I’m going to suggest that you go into any relationship slowly and with your eyes wide open. I don’t want you making a mistake.”
She pulled away from her dad’s arms and stared into his blue eyes. “I think I understand. You think Aaron has swept me off my feet?”
“I know he has. Put them back on the ground and proceed with caution.”
Weddings on Main Street will be on sale for $.99 soon! Look for it!
Cynthia, thanks for sharing our new release. We are very proud of Weddings on Main Street. We write from sweet to sensual, so there is something for everyone from the Authors of Main Street.
Congratulations, Ladies! Looks like a wonderful summertime diversion… wishing lots of luck with it.
Thanks, Gemma, for stopping by. I think you’ll love this boxed set!
Waving hello to Cynthia and all her readers! It’s always fun to be here. I’m sending early Happy Father’s Day greetings to all the dad’s in our lives. I THEE WED has Cody as a dad and Julia would be lost without that man in her life. He’s far from perfect but he’s doing his best.
Being a father has very little to do with being blood related and everything to do with caring. I love writing stories of families. That basic need for family is there with everyone even though it’s not always present in our lives. Who hasn’t felt a little green when they discover someone has this wonderful family who loves and supports them? And family structure has changed, and there are plenty of single parent households.
Cody’s story WITH THIS RING will be available on Monday in the Kindle store. It just took him a longer to find true love. Along the way, he collected seven children from previous marriages and he loves each one of them. But letting go of Julia, his oldest daughter, wasn’t easy. He wanted to protect her from making the same mistakes he made.
Thank you so much Cynthia for letting us show off a bit on your blog. I am so proud to be a member of his group and to have my work aside all these amazing authors.
Once Upon a Wedding, my contribution to the group, turned into a full summer series. I’ll have a novella out each month, to celebrate weddings, love and vacation reads! That’s how inspiring the ladies of Authors of Main Street can be.
I hope everyone takes a peak at the book and I know once purchased everyone will find several stories they just love! We are a great blend of styles & heat levels.
Thanks again for your time and we hope to hear from your readership with questions or comments.
P.s. Please forgive my iPhone, it has yet to master a proper editing job! 🙂 All mistakes are completely it’s fault, lol!
Kelly Rae
Happy Father’s Day to all the readers. In The Reluctant Bride, Claire doesn’t have a great example of wedded bliss in her parents, but as a dad, Abraham is the best. He is there for all of his children. Sometimes marriage doesn’t work out, but parents still need to be there for their kids. My parents divorced but they never let us forget we were still a family, I hope I showed some of that in my story.
Thanks for having us here today, Cynthia! I hope your readings will check out this newest collection from the Authors of Main Street. At less than 27 cents per story, it’s a heck of a deal.
Gah. Readers, not readings.
Thank you Cynthia for inviting us to visit today. Since it’s officially Flag Day in America, our small town has American flags flying throughout the downtown area.
It always makes me proud to see the flags flying. I’m such a goofus in that matter.
I cry at weddings too!
When I finished writing ‘The Vow’ the ending made that goofus feeling come out!
Since tomorrow is Father’s Day, I have to say that I picked one of the best men in the world to be the father of my children.
Isn’t life wonderful!
Lovely post, Cynthia. I like all the covers.
Good luck with the boxed set, ladies!
Thanks, Linda. We had fun writing these stories. For me, it’s lighter writing then my normal stuff. That made it extra special.
I’ve enjoyed reading about the different stories in this box set. It sounds like something for everyone and who doesn’t love a good wedding!! I wish you all much success!
Thanks, Melissa! I think you’ll enjoy these stories. They are all so varied but with the HEA that everyone loves!
Ladies, the boxed set is exciting and a definite winner. The stories are as varied as each writer. I can’t wait to read to the end. Congratulations and I’m wishing you tons of sales.
Oh, Carol, you must read to the end to read mine! But no cheating! Read them in order.
🙂
