I want to tell you about the best authors that you might not have heard of…YET. They are my critique partners and they are amazingly talented women. A more talented group of women I’ve yet to find.

Here they are listed in no particular order.

 

CJ SNYDER

This women writes the most amazing, hottest, page turning, romantic suspense you’re likely to read any time soon.

Her characters are full blown, not cardboard cutouts of other characters you’ve read. Her hero and heroine are people you root for, people you like and maybe even people you know or know someone like them. Her villains are so bad you can’t wait until the hero or heroine take them out.  Don’t start one of her books at night or you’ll get no sleep at all.

JENNIFER ZANE

You want funny? Laugh-out-loud-till-your-husband-asks-you-what-the heck-you-are-reading-funny? You want Jennifer Zane and her new book GNOME ON THE RANGE.

Her poor heroine just wants to know why someone wants the gnomes her boys found and bought at a garage sale. Someone tries to steal them and she can’t let that happen because her sons are attached to the little buggers.

This is by far the funniest book you’ll read this year. I totally guarantee it.

KAREN DOCTER

Karen writes contemporary romance with a tickle. SATIN PLEASURES is her first book out of the gate and a solid charmer it is. Her characters have you rooting for them to find each other and get it on. Sorry, that’s my 1970’s vernacular back to haunt me.

Karen’s books contain not only human characters but canaries and a dog that are fun parts of the story.

This is the kind of book you read with a glass of wine in the bubble bath after all the kids and the hubby have gone to bed.

MICHELE CALLAHAN

Ms. Callahan writes science fiction with an intense pace and a dose of romance. It is sexy and scary as hell…because it could happen. Her protagonists are on a race against time. They must stop what is about to happen or the world as we know it will die.

This is the kind of book that I read in bed with my husband near. Her characters are so believable you will wonder if there isn’t something like this going on right now. I can’t tell you what it is, that would give the story away, just trust me when I say to pick up RED NIGHT and read it with a cup of hot cocoa to keep you warm.

KALLY JO SURBECK

Kally is the one of us that you may have already read. She has several books including FOR THE LOVE OF… and SHE BLINDED ME WITH SCIENCE…FICTION.  These are my two favorites.

Her books run the gamut from sweet to sexy, contemporary fiction to high fantasy and historical romance. This is a woman who knows how to genre hop and do it well.
